Xaloc, Isla Holbox ... Between the sky and the sea... Xaloc is an 18 room boutique resort with pools, a restaurant, a boutique and a really cool hammock cathedral. A lovely spot located right on the edge of Holbox village.

Xaloc (Sha-lock) is the Maorcan name for the southeast wind ... a fitting namesake for this carefree seaside resort. Between the sky and the sea, at the northern tip of Yucatan Peninsula, you will find us. The place you've dreamt of, where the time has another measure. Holbox is a place to forget your daily routine and feel the rhythms of nature.

It's easy to imagine your vacation at Xaloc. You'll rest in a hammock, watch the gliding pelicans, swim among dolphins, leave your footsteps in miles of virgin beaches or get lost among the mangroves. You'll gain the knowledge that there are still pieces of paradise on earth.

Xaloc consists of only 18 rooms nestled beneath traditional thatched roofs. Here, you won't have the temptation to party 'til dawn in the hotel disco! We're about quieter, simpler pleasures.

Here, excitement consists of spotting a Roseate Spoonbill amongst the mangrove or a giant Manta Ray in the open sea. We invite you to share these gifts with us.

Where We Are:
Isla Holbox is about 3 hours from Cancun. It's 2 hours by car then 30 minutes via water ferry.
Xaloc is on the eastern edge of Holbox village - right on the beach.

This is a full service transfer from the Cancun Airport to and from your hotel on Isla Holbox. The cost includes the Ferry service and the Taxi service to and from your hotel.

*** Attention Late Arrivals***

Late flight arrivals (4:00PM or later) must hire a private boat service to cross the channel to Holbox. This is an additional charge of $30.00 per private boat and will be scheduled by the transfer services driver. The latest Ferry departure is 7:00PM and only private boats are available after 7:00PM.
