On the edge of Playa del Carmen, offering a rustic flavor with a tone of elegance. A thatch roofed community complete with two pools and tropical gardens is situated right on the beach. The rooms are neatly and attractively furnished with either a king or two double beds, private bath and ceiling fan. Lovely touches of Mexican tile and woodwork abound. Daily maid service is, of course, provided and there's an ample supply of purified, bottled water in each room. A front porch with hammocks satisfies the modern Robinson Crusoe's quest for leisure with just enough of the necessary comforts.

Vacation-time is good-eating time. The Shangri-la Caribe dining staff knows this. From the casual atmosphere of the dining room under thatch you'll find your mealtime moments a memorable experience.
