The Hotel

Boca Paila Lodge...it really is more than just fishing!

Located directly on the Caribbean beach south of Tulum within the Sian Ka'an Biosphere nature preserve.  Boca Paila is situated in an ideal location for both fishing and observing nature.  The lodge is located on the beach, but we are on a peninsula with a spectacular 30+ mile lagoon just steps behind the resort.  You will have complete accesss to all of the natural wonders this magical place has to offer.

The Lodge
Nesteled amongest a shady palm grove directly on the beach with the lagoon at your back, each spacious duplex bungalow has it's own private bath, sitting area, and outside terrace complete with your own hammock!  The main lodge restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner using only the freshest ingredients.

Activities
Angling is the main attraction here with options for all types of fishing.  Whether you're a fly rodder, bait fisherman or spin caster, the surrounding areas represent some of the world's best flat water fishing in the Caribbean and Atlantic waters.  With a winning combination of fresh, salt and brackish estuaries intermingled with the shallow water reef system, the food supply for the game fish we seek make Boca Paila an ideal location.  Best known for the bone fishing and unparalleled permit population, Boca Paila offers bonus possibilties with tarpon and snook also plentiful in the area.  The non-flat water fishing is also fantastic for snapper, dorado (mahi-mahi), barracuda and jack crevelle.

Fishing may be the main attraction for Boca Paila, but the eco-tours are a close second.  Simply being in the lagoon will introduce you to over 150 different species of birds and wildlife unique to this area.  By boat you will travel deep into the lagoons and endless channels of the biosphere and see Mayan ruins and canals carved by hand that were created hundreds of years ago.  Simply observing nature here is a profound experience.

 

 

Kiteboarding has also become a popular activity at Boca Paila and a great option on a windy day when the fly casting may prove difficult.  Take advantage of your expert instruction and learn how to fly when you come!

• Gift Shop - Boca Paila has a small gift shop where you can purchase souveniers from the resort like hats, t-shirts, jewelry, sun tan lotion and various convenience items.
• Car Rentals - Boca Paila does not offer car rental services but we can refer you to a local company in Tulum.
• Laundry Service -  Boca Paila offers laundry service.  Just request items to be washed in the morning and they are returned in the afternoon.  Cost is $1.00 per item.
• Concierge Desk - Boca Paila offers a full range of concierge services including arranging tours off site and any other services or tours you may be interested in...just check with the front desk.
• Security - There is security 24/7 with a guard posted at the entrance each night.

There are only 9 rooms at Boca Paila and each and every one has a beautiful ocean view. In your spacious room you'll find 2 double beds, ceiling fans, 110V electricity 24 hours a day, a sitting area and bottled water.  For your convenience each bathroom has soap, shampoo and conditioner and there is daily maid service.

 Boca Paila Cancellation Policy:

All reservations at the Boca Paila Lodge are non-refundable.  If a cancellation is made you will receive a credit (transferrable) for a future stay at the lodge, no cash refunds are issued for this property.
