If you are looking for the unspoiled Caribbean coast and want to escape from the hustle and bustle of Cancun and Playa del Carmen then you have come to the right place.  Okotuil is a quaint little beach resort with most of the comforts of home. 

A cut above luxury camping, this eco-friendly resort consists of 2 beachfront tents that are built on elevated platforms with real beds and tables, it's not exactly camping.  Okotuil also has a main house option with a private bedroom complete with its own bathroom and a 2 room camper known as the "Tortuga Hut".

Romantic and completely secluded you may choose to do nothing all day at Okotuil or make an adventure into the Costa Maya.  Fishing, diving, snorkeling, eco-tours and bird watching are a few of the highlights in the area.  There is wonderful snorkeling right off the beach in front of Okotuil and your daily rate includes free use of the kayaks for a quick paddle out to the reef if you don't want to swim too far, either way, it's a short trip.   The waters in and around Okotuil are calm and inviting with the second largest barrier reef in the world sheltering their private bay.

One of the unique aspects of Okotuil is the fact the resort only has 4 rooms, they have the ability to cater to your needs and will always do their best to accommodate any special requests.   Your daily rate includes an expanded continental breakfast of sweet breads, cereal, granola, fresh fruits, juices and coffee.  A full hot breakfast is also available upon request for a small extra fee. 

Lunch at Okotuil is casual and a fend for yourself affair, but the fridge is typically loaded with snacks and all the fixings for a great sandwich...ask Kathy to whip up some of her great guacamole, you won't be disappointed.  For dinner you can head to town or stick around on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays when the resident chef aka Kathy cooks up her finest.  Again, these meals can be customized to your needs with some notice and general agreement from the other guests.

Beach Front Cabin Tents

Moon Palace:
A 10' x 12' canvas walled tent situated right on the beach atop a raised platform.  The Moon Palace also features a raised patio complete with hammocks and lounge chairs.  Inside you'll find a comfortable queen size bed, night stands, candles and a small light.  The beachfront Moon Palace tent can accommodate 2 guests.

Cayuga Lodge:
A 10' x 14' canvas walled tent situated on the beach atop a raised platform complete with a deck area featuring hammocks and lounge chairs for relaxing outside.  The Cayuga Lodge furnishings include one full size bed and one single bed, candles and a small light.  The beachfront cayuga Lodge can accommodate up to 3 people.

The Main House "Starfish Room" and "Tortuga Hut"

The Starfish Room:
The main house is set back from the beach approximately 50 yards.  The Starfish Room features a private entrance with access to the main house from the interior door.  The Starfish room also has its own private bathroom, electricity and ceiling fan.  A queen size bed, native furnishings and artwork complete this cozy and comfortable room.  A foldaway bed is also available to make the Starfish Room an option for 3 people.

The Tortuga Hut:
Located next to the main house, the Tortuga Hut is a 24 foot camper with a sitting room, kitchenette and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed.  Tortuga also features a full size futon that makes room for 4 people in all.  The Tortuga Hut is also available for extended stays of one month or more, call us for extended stay rates.

  Tortuga Hut is also available for long term rental by the week or month; weekly rates are $300.00 for low season and $400.00 USD for high season.  Please call if you are interested in a monthly rental.
