Cyan-Ha Dive Center Commitment

Through the years, thousands of divers from all over the world have chosen to dive with Cyan-Ha Dive Center in Playa del Carmen. Whether you are diving in the open water or taking a cenote dive, you will experience not only the beauty Mexico's Mayan Riviera has to offer, but also Cyan-Ha Dive Center's commitment to safety and dedication to you, the individual diver.

The dive center Buceo Cyan-Ha has been operating in Mexico's Mayan Riviera since 1983. Cyan-Ha Dive Center is the oldest existing dive shop in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The Cyan-Ha dive team was the first to explore and name many of the reefs that you will be diving near Playa del Carmen.
 

Playa del Carmen Dive Sites

All Cyan-Ha Dive Center diving and snorkeling trips take place along the coast line north and south from the dive shop, following the reefs which run parallel to the beach. The dive sites are all 10-20 minutes by boat from the Playa del Carmen dive shop.

Deep Dive

9:00 AM The deepest set of reefs is found at 25 to 30 Mts. (80 to 100 ft,) these are the maximum depths divers reach in Cyan-Ha Dive Center excursions.

Shallow Dive

11:00 AM The next set of reefs is in the range of 14 to 18 Mts. (50 to 60 ft.). In all of these locations there is a current present allowing divers to drift with it along the reef, with proper buoyancy control this is an effortless way of diving.

Shallow Dive

1:00 PM (available on demand) The shallow reefs near Playa del Carmen appear in the 10 to 12 Mts. depth range (30 to 40 ft.), making them ideal for night diving or novice divers.

Cenote Tours

Any day during the week a tour to the fresh water sinkholes called cenotes is organized. The cenote caverns are located in the jungle and their unique formations could make them the highlight of your diving vacation. Many divers travel to Playa del Carmen specifically to dive in these unique fresh water caverns.

PADI and SSI Certifications

PADI and SSI scuba diving certifications are offered from the entry level Open Water Diver to the Divemaster level. For those people that only want a taste of diving before deciding on going any further, a Resort Course is available. Diving courses can be provided in: English, French, German, Italian, and, of course, Spanish.
